All of the OPR staff are excited to embark on a great journey of learning with each child in our school. With a wonderful student body and parents and terrific staff, we know that the experiences which our students have in the Old Post Road School will last a lifetime.
A school of excellence can only be attained with a great deal of home and school communication and involvement. We encourage all parents to play active roles in your child(ren)’s learning. We attempt to provide you with important information through home-school communications, ranging from monthly newsletters to PAC meetings. The phrase, “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”, is something that we all believe in here at OPR.
It is important for students and parents, alike, to know that the school day doesn’t end when that last bell rings. Homework is certainly a continuation of the school day and should be completed thoroughly each evening that it is assigned. Returning to school for evening Math/Science Nights, Spring Concerts, and other special events helps make learning even greater for our elementary-aged students.
We hope that the foundation that our children build in OPR will carry forward in great ways as they move through our schools in Walpole. All of us are here to help children succeed and grow in their educational journey of excellence. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
